(Moving Meditation)

Akasagarbha Bodhisattva

Xu Kong Zang in Chinese, Namkhai Nyingpo in Tibetan, Kokūzō Bosatsu in Japanese.

Akasagarbha is a bodhisattva that kept his vows so purely and diligently that his merit and wisdom are beyond measure. He is like a wealthy man who helps all suffering beings. His ability to benefit all beings is immeasurable. The reason why the Bodhisattva is called Akasagarbha is explained thus in the Ta-fang-teng-ta-chi-ching:

“Suppose there is a millionaire who has limitless riches, an immeasurable store of large donations to people, especially to the poor and bereaved. Suppose that he opens his store to make offerings to those people as much as they want, and that he is thereby immensely satisfied. Like that rich man, does Akasagarbha Bodhisattva practice his meritorious acts”

He is regarded as the essence of ether, he personifies infinitely vast wisdom and compassion and belongs to the group of eight great Bodhisattvas.

Prajna Akasagarbha is the dharma practice attained by Akasagarbha bodhisattva. According to Buddhist mythology, Akasagarbha bodhisattva practiced this particular meditation, with these particular movements to attain to enlightenment. In the mandala or the pantheon of Buddhas and bodhisattvas in Buddhism, Akasagarbha bodhisattva is considered the wealthiest bodhisattva. In other words, in the sense of the hierarchy, Akasagarbha bodhisattva will be placed at the highest as the wealthiest, in terms of wealth. Whatever Jambhala or wealth gods, they all fall under the rule of Akasagarbha bodhisattva.Akasagarbha is one of the thirteen deities of the Shingon school of Buddhism in Japan. He is the Bodhisattva of wisdom, memory and good fortune and the patron of craftspeople and artisans. He is guardian of people born in the Zodiac Years of the Ox and the Tiger. A mantra of Akasagarbha was chanted by Kūkai 空海 (774 – 835), the Founder of Japan’s Buddhist Shingon sect. He attained enlightenment in the early dawn when Akasagarbha appeared in the form of the morning star and pierced Kūkai’s mouth.

AWAKEN YOUR SLEEPING SEEDS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, THE ALAYA.

The alaya seeds in space are alive, are constantly moving. The alaya seeds in your body are dormant, asleep. So when you begin to do this practice, your alaya seeds in your body are still dormant, asleep. The more you practice, you may feel this sensation, and gradually you don’t feel that sensation anymore because now the alaya seeds are gradually awakening. Eventually, toward the end, your movement becomes natural, you don’t have to think about it, because now the alaya seeds in your body are awakened. You will follow the alaya seeds in space and move according to the heartbeat of the universe, not your own speed.
The moment we are born as a human being, a human being is also perfect and natural, just like the universe, the alaya seeds are also moving in the body. As the baby grows up, because the baby becomes conditioned by his environment, his perception becomes skewed and limited. He arose to this understanding of the world as he perceived it. Therefore his alaya seeds gradually, as he grew older and older, went to sleep. As a person is growing up, he has desires, he identifies with himself and develops an ego, and therefore he begins to limit himself with his own ego, at the same time he is limited by the conditions of the environment.

Prajna Akasagarbha Wealth Dharma is for wealth, spiritual and material, self spiritual healing, extinguishing disaster, extending life, and bringing forth good luck. Considered a key to Enlightenment.

Akasagarbha formed this moving Dharma with the help of Manjusri Bodhisattva, and it is the actual practice he attained enlightenment with.

Our presentation of the Prajna Akasagarbha Wealth Dharma is a unique teaching of the Hanmi Esoteric School of Chinese Buddhism. This practice was formerly offered only to advanced, initiated disciples of a spiritual master after several years of preparation. It is now being offered to the general public, due to the great need for more people to learn how to heal themselves and their environment.

In the weekend workshop, you will receive the complete transmission of Prajna Akasagarbha, the 16 Mudras, (body movement) corresponding visualisations and the Sanskrit version of Akashagarbha’s mantra. This is a slow moving meditation. We also include a DVD of the practice and handouts.

Participation in this workshop is open to the general public. No prerequisites are required, except for sincerity and a willingness to practice the teachings. If you already have a healing practice, this teaching will greatly empower your current healing abilities.
